Ian Hamilton, who ran Barclays’ foreign exchange trading business for Asia, has retired from the industry, FX Week has learned. Hamilton had worked at Barclays since 2008, where he began trading FX options at the London office. He moved to the UK bank’s Singapore office in 2015, to lead its FX business for the Asia region. Previously, Hamilton traded FX exotic options at Credit Suisse in London under Simon Hards, who was then head of global exotics. Barclays declined to comment.
