Knight leaves Citi after 18 years

Alex Knight, global head of foreign exchange prime brokerage and client coverage at Citi, is leaving after 18 years with the bank.

The managing director worked for Citi in Sydney and Singapore until 2015, when he moved to London to take up the FXPB role, according to his LinkedIn profile. Citi confirmed his departure, but declined to comment.

In December, Citi moved its FXPB operations to its futures, clearing and collateral (FCC) team. The appointment of Antonin Jullier as global head of sales and client executives for prime finance and FCC brought with it a reorganisation of the sales approach in January.

Earlier in his career, Knight worked in sales at SS&C Technologies, DST International and CRU.

Separately, New York-based Alexis Brachet is set to leave Citi in June, FX Week has learned, after almost 13 years with the bank and its Citibanamex subsidiary. He was a managing director at Citi and Citibanamex for more than 12 years. Prior to that, he held the same position at BNP Paribas, after spells at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Bankers Trust Investments. Citi declined to comment on his exit.
