Dow Jones Telerate has won a contract with Swiss investment bank Banca del Gottardo to install its Telerate Trading Room System at 85 positions in its Lugano headquarters. Additional workstations are expected to be added during the next 12 months, say Telerate officials.
The system, a fully digital data distribution platform, replaces the Reuters video switch the bank has been using. IBM RISC-based servers function as the backbone of the system, while PC-based Telerate Workstations running
