ABN To Expand N.Y. Trading Room DR-One Data System, Move To OS/2

ABN Bank will expand its New York trading room, which is served by a DR-one local data distribution system, to 44 positions from its current 33 positions within the next two weeks. The Dutch bank is also planning to switch to OS/2 from DOS within the next year to support additional applications on the trader workstation.

ABN installed its DR-one trading room system earlier this year. According to Sam Halim, senior vice president of automation and administration at the bank, the system supports
