DTCC powers ahead with FX trade repository

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is loading banks' open foreign exchange portfolios onto its systems, ahead of a February 28 deadline set by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for dealers to report FX trades to a swap data repository. The deadline for clearing houses to report trades was January 10, but banks were given extra time after the effects of Hurricane Sandy disrupted their testing last year.
