Globex2 Starts Day One With Moderate Volume

CHICAGO--Globex2, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME) new after-hours electronic trading platform, got off to a moderate start last week, after it launched on Sunday, September 20 (FXW, September 21).

A spokesperson for the exchange in Chicago, says that trading on the system's opening day had been "fairly busy", with a total of 26,935 contracts changing hands. "Volumes were a little higher than we expected due to all the volatility on the overseas stock markets," says the spokesperson
